The Partner+ app will leverage Synamedia’s streaming platform technology powered by Synamedia Go Experience Manager to deliver editorial strategies and personalise viewing experiences.
Synamedia has announced an extension of its long-standing partnership with YES, the pay-TV arm of Israel’s telecoms group Bezeq, while also supporting YES’s collaboration with Partner Communications for the launch of a new television service.
Under the agreement, YES will deliver a version of its Sting+ application built on Synamedia’s OTT, cloud and SaaS technologies, while also handling content acquisition for Partner. As part of the rollout, Partner Communications’ TV subscribers will be transitioned to the Partner+ app, featuring refreshed Partner branding and new user experiences. The Sting+ offering will sit alongside the YES+ premium app, broadening YES’s overall streaming portfolio.
Synamedia said its advanced multi-tenant cloud architecture enables multiple brands and service providers to operate securely on the same platform. This approach allows streaming services to scale efficiently and cost-effectively, even when serving different operators within the same market.
The Partner+ app will use Synamedia’s streaming platform powered by Synamedia Go Experience Manager to support editorial strategies and deliver personalised viewing experiences. Synamedia Go is a modular SaaS-based OTT video platform designed to simplify and enhance the management of streaming services. The solution also integrates additional Synamedia technologies and services, including FluidEdge CDN, security capabilities and disaster recovery.
Commenting on the announcement, Itzhak Elyakim, VP of Engineering and CTO at YES, said: “Our partnership with Synamedia has evolved over decades and we continue to collaborate with them to bring the latest innovations to our subscribers while supporting our transition from satellite to IP. For our agreement with Partner Communications, we needed a cast iron guarantee that the technology can manage multiple operating companies under the same platform with the highest level of security we have come to expect.”
Dr Tzvi Gerstl, EVP of Media Technology at Synamedia, added: “This groundbreaking agreement with Partner Communications shows how telcos can expand their TV services beyond organic growth. By using the YES app, powered by Synamedia Go, our cutting-edge platform for multi-operator services, brand customisation, and content aggregation, Partner benefits from proven technology while its subscribers will enjoy a highly personalised and future ready TV experience.”
