The deal includes eight series from Korea and Turkey that will be available in the US, most of them targetting the Hispanic community.
Thema, the Canal+ Group-owned content distributor, has partnered with US-based Roku to bring a selection of international drama series to audiences in the US, UK, Mexico and Canada through The Roku Channel.
As part of the deal, eight Turkish and Korean drama series will be available in the US, catering primarily to Hispanic viewers. The Turkish lineup includes Asya, Gumus, La Dama Rebelde and Mi Ultimo Deseo. Meanwhile, the Korean series from KT Studio Genie include Unlock My Boss, Battle for Happiness, Summer Strike and Evilive. Some of these titles will also be accessible to viewers in Latin America, Canada and the UK.
Additionally, four Canal+ Originals produced in Asia will be featured on The Roku Channel. Vietnamese dramas Hellbound Village and Scarlett Hill, along with Myanmar-produced titles Crying Forest and Toxic, will be available in the selected regions.
The deal also includes the Indian series Dhawan Kharenge, produced by Indiacast. Centered on cricket, the show will be made available in Canada, the US and the UK.
