The features have already been available through a soft launch and pilot phase in recent weeks, with early data indicating strong user engagement across key markets including the GCC, Egypt and Jordan. The uptake points to rising appetite in the region for more immersive and participatory ways to follow live sporting events.
FanZone, which sits within TOD’s wider TOD360 experience layer, allows viewers to interact with matches in real time through tools such as live predictions, polls, quizzes and cheering functions, effectively blending community interaction with live viewing. Meanwhile, MultiView enables fans on supported devices to watch multiple live matches at the same time on a single screen, offering greater flexibility and control over how they consume sports content.
The introduction of these features aligns with TOD’s broader strategy to move beyond traditional, passive viewing and toward more personalised, interactive and multi-screen experiences tailored to evolving fan habits.
Commenting on the launch, Peter Mrkic, Managing Director of TOD-MENA, said: “The future of sports streaming is not just about delivering content. It is about deepening connection. With MultiView and FanZone, we are giving fans more control, more context, and more ways to participate in the moments that matter most. The strong response we have seen across the GCC, Egypt and Jordan during our pilot phase reinforces that audiences in this region are ready for experiences that go beyond watching and into truly engaging with sport.”
Mrkic added that the launch forms part of the platform’s long-term roadmap as TOD prepares for the global spotlight of the FIFA World Cup 2026, ensuring fans across MENA can experience major sporting moments with greater choice, flexibility, and immersion.
