Mediaset España, the parent company of Spanish broadcasters Telecinco and Cuatro, has picked up Turkish drama series Hicran.
Mediaset España has signed a deal with Istanbul-based distributor Inter Medya.
The drama, which stars child star Nisa Sofia Alksongur, centres around Hiran, a young woman who has lost her daughter, said to have died at birth. Hiran believes her daughter is still alive and spends her life looking for her. One day, she saves a little girl, Melek, and becomes her babysitter, unaware that Melek is her own daughter.
Hicran is the first daily drama produced as part of the multi-year co-production agreement between Inter Medya and Telemundo.
The drama broadcasts on weekdays in Turkey on Kanal D.
