Allente is offering recently revamped Paramount Plus with content from Showtime, CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Paramount Studios and Comedy Central.
Telenor and NENT Group have relaunched their respective TV platforms under a joint brand. They are phasing out their old brands Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer in the Nordic region, and presenting a new customer proposition for TV, streaming and broadband under the name Allente, with the slogan ’Better together’.
Allente is offering four TV packages with the streaming service Viaplay available as part as three of them. It is also offering the recently revamped Paramount Plus with content from Showtime, CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Paramount Studios and Comedy Central.
Existing customers will retain their broad offerings before a gradual transition to Allente’s platforms. The packages have been revamped, allowing new combinations not previously available.
Commenting on the launch, Bjørn Ivar Moen, CEO of Allente said: “Launching Allente out to the customer is a milestone we have been working towards for a year, and I can only say: Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer are better together. We have been able to cherry-pick, and the customer offering we now have, with an attractive mix of linear channels and streaming services, is something we look forward to delighting both new and existing customers with.”
Mahmoud Mustapha, CCO of Allente, added: “Allente stands for All entertainment, and that’s really what we are now offering our customers. Whether it’s sports, shows, movies, documentaries, news or Friday night entertainment you’re after, you can find it with us. And while satellite TV is still the best choice for those who want top-quality, with no lag or time delay when their favourite team is playing, we have an equally good offering on broadband TV – an area we plan to continue to grow in, along with a pure broadband offering.”
Allente is also looking to the business-to-business sector, and has secured exclusive distribution rights for the public viewing of sporting events such as the 2021 European Football Championship and the 2022 World Cup.
