In a signing ceremony attended by media leaders and distinguished guests, Viory formalised partnerships with several key regional players in global news media, including Emirates News Agency (WAM), Abu Dhabi Media, Media Office of the Government of Al Fujairah, Bloomberg Asharq, Nigeria’s Channels TV and Nigerian State Television and Morocco’s Hespress. The agreements cover various facets such as mutual cooperation for the delivery of fresh regional narratives, accessibility to Viory content, and the provision of broadcast services, exclusive video content and live updates from the across the region.
In the subcontinent, Viory signed partnerships with India’s Indo Asian News Services (IANS), the National Broadcasting Corporation of Papua New Guinea (Viroy Circle partnership), and Hanoi TV (subscription based. Trial agreements were entered into with Indonesia’s Kompas.com and SinpoTV, and Daily Sun Bangladesh. In LATAM, Viory partnered with Grupo Clarín and Canal 9 (Argentina).
Through these partnerships, Viory seeks to tackle the content gap often seen in global media by ensuring topics from the Global South are represented authentically. Partner networks will gain access to Viory’s 24/7 video and live content, enhancing their ability to reflect the region’s agenda. This collaboration also extends to educational initiatives, including workshops on video verification and storytelling best practices, fostering professional growth of journalism within the Global South and increasing trust in media.
