Top talents from Casting Night to perform on stage during the Open Mic Night on August 23.
Vox Cinemas, in collaboration with the Emirati Comedy Club, is set to host an Open Mic Night on August 23 from 9:00 to 11:00 PM at Vox Cinemas City Centre Mirdif. Tickets are now available for AED 10 ($2.72) on the Vox Cinemas website and app.
This event follows a Casting Night that attracted over 450 registrations and featured performances from more than 70 Arabic-speaking comedians. The top 14 comedians, including four Emiratis, were mentored by Bin Swelah and Ahmed Saif and will showcase their talents in front of a live audience.
The Open Mic Night is part of a newly-launched three-part comedy series by Vox Cinemas and the Emirati Comedy Club aimed at nurturing aspiring Arab comedians. The series began with the Casting Night on August 11-12 and will conclude with a Comedy Night featuring live performances from Emirati Comedy Club stars.
In addition to blockbuster films, Vox Cinemas frequently hosts live comedy shows, sports events, concerts and documentaries to cater to diverse audience preferences.
