The Edge is also unveiling a refreshed brand identity that reflects its three areas of focus: Film, Education and Immersive Experiences.
The Edge, a Middle East-based content creation and production company, a subsidiary of the UK’s Zinc Media Group, has officially opened its first office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Having operated in Saudi Arabia for over 15 years, The Edge has produced a wide range of documentaries, brand films and large-scale events for leading organisations including Aramco, the BBC, Ithra, SABIC and Red Sea Global. The new Riyadh office underscores the company’s commitment to supporting Saudi brands, national projects and global storytelling initiatives aligned with the Kingdom’s growing creative vision.
Backed by Zinc Media Group, UK’s factual storytelling company and the only television production firm listed on the London Stock Exchange, this expansion forms part of Zinc’s broader strategy to invest in the Middle East’s rapidly evolving media and entertainment sector. Zinc’s global reach extends across 150 territories, with distribution partnerships that include major international platforms such as Disney, BBC, National Geographic, PBS, Netflix, Warner Bros. Discovery and Amazon Prime Video.
Mark Browning, CEO of Zinc Media Group, said: “We are proud to have delivered some of our most exciting projects in Saudi Arabia over the past decade. Now, with an official office in Riyadh, we are committing even more fully to the Kingdom. This step allows us to partner more closely with local brands and organisations to tell the stories that are shaping Saudi Arabia’s place in the world.”
As part of its expansion, The Edge has also introduced a refreshed brand identity that reflects its three core areas of focus: Film, Education and Immersive Experiences. The company’s portfolio spans television production, factual storytelling, brand activations and experiential projects, aligning with the creative ambitions of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Alex Amos, Executive Producer of The Edge, added: “Saudi Arabia has been at the heart of our work in the region for years. By opening our official office in Riyadh, we’re building on that foundation to invest in local talent, strengthen long-term partnerships, and use our creativity to amplify Saudi Arabia’s voice to the rest of the world.”
The Riyadh office complements The Edge’s existing hub in Doha and reflects Zinc Media Group’s growing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a global media and cultural powerhouse. The expansion comes amid Zinc’s continued business momentum, with revenues rising by 72% year-on-year and a robust pipeline of multi-million-pound projects across the Middle East.
