Doha Film Institute to host ninth edition of Ajyal Film Festival in November

There will be a special emphasis on young talent development through its youth jury programme for ages eight to 25.
In addition to the streaming of his films, there will also be a live talk with the director on May 30 at Arab Film and Media Institute.
The film recently had its world premiere at the latest edition of the Ajyal Film Festival in Qatar.
'Al-Sit' is written and directed by Suzannah Mirghani, who co-produced it with Eiman Mirghani.
With 22 projects from the MENA region, two from the GCC, and seven from Qatar, the programme amplifies emerging creative voices in the development of original and compelling content.
BeIN also set up live studios during the closing celebration between 6 pm to 7.30 pm, where it hosted several guests including DFI spokespeople, filmmakers, jury members and award winners.
BeIN Media Group will broadcast the ceremonies and awards of the film festival on beIN Movies HD1 Premiere channel and beIN Movies Youtube channel.
'Gaza Mon Amour' recently won the NETPAC award at the 45th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and received critical acclaim at the Venice International Film Festival.
The Final Cut in Venice workshop supports films in the post-production stage from Africa, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria.
'Gaza Mon Amour' has also been selected to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival, which begins today and will go on till September 20.
The award was presented by Acoustic Film Sound in Estonia and is worth $17,500 of sound design and recording mix services.
The film, which is vying at the Orizzonti competition, will be screened on three days from September 3 to 5.
This decision was part of the Institute’s contribution to the responsible management and prevention of the further spread of the virus in Qatar.
