Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine 12K LF digital film camera has officially joined Netflix’s Approved Camera List, detailed in the streamer’s “Cameras and Image Capture: Requirements and Best Practices” guidelines. This list outlines the technical specifications required for cameras to qualify, including dynamic range, resolution, codec and workflow compatibility. To meet Netflix standards, 90% of a programme’s total runtime must be captured using approved cameras.
The URSA Cine 12K LF joins Blackmagic’s URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 and URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF, which are already on the list.
