EditShare representatives will be available at CABSAT to discuss all the latest improvements.
EditShare is set to mark its 20th anniversary alongside CABSAT’s 30th anniversary by unveiling its latest advancements in the MENA region at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 21 to 23. Attendees can expect to witness EditShare’s comprehensive solutions, offering benefits beyond storage, from storyboard to screen.
The EditShare media storage architecture, EFS, receives a significant boost with the introduction of EFS NVMe, incorporating high-performance, high-bandwidth solid-state technology as another key component. NVMe delivers throughput three times faster than previous SSD servers, catering to demanding creative applications such as DPX, OpenEXR, 4k, and 8k content. Despite its enhanced capabilities, NVMe seamlessly integrates with and is managed by the overall EFS environment, encompassing traditional servers, nearline storage, archives, and the cloud.
MediaSilo, a tool for sharing work in progress, undergoes enhancements in review functionality, featuring side-by-side version comparisons and additional facilities for commenting, tracking, and acknowledging feedback. Notably, MediaSilo incorporates visible and forensic watermarking to safeguard shared review material, dynamically inserting customisable viewer information into files, ensuring secure distribution of assets, including scripts, casting shots, and marketing materials.
Screeners.com, the preferred press screener utilised by major studios and production companies worldwide, receives updates in security, branding customisation, and in-video logo watermarks. Reviewers can expect an enhanced OTT-style experience, with improved content recommendations, watchlists, and expiry notifications.
Vincent Eade, RVP sales EMEA at EditShare, said: “It’s great to be able to share major milestones with CABSAT: our 20th, the event’s 30th. Our goal has always been on freeing creators so they can concentrate on making great content, we do this by providing the storage and workflow tools they need along with a secure way of collaborating on projects and sharing material, all the way from ingest to screen.”
“I’ve had the privilege of attending CABSAT many times,” Eade continued, “and I know that it is a great opportunity to have detailed, positive conversations with the industry. That helps us set our own development plans, so we can deliver even better solutions in the future.”
