Exhibit highlights at the Ikegami booth will also include the UHK-X600, UHK-X700, UHK-X750, HDK-99, UHL-43, and UHL-F4000 cameras.
Ikegami USA is set to mark its 60th Anniversary with a showcase at the NAB Show 2024 in Las Vegas. The company will unveil four new additions to its range of broadcast-quality production equipment, promising to redefine industry standards.
Headlining the event, Ikegami USA will introduce the HDK-X500 HD portable camera system and the OCP-500 operation control panel, alongside two state-of-the-art video monitors – the mains-powered HLM-2460WA and the mains/battery HLM-1860WR. The company’s booth will also feature exhibit highlights including the UHK-X600, UHK-X700, UHK-X750, HDK-99, UHL-43, and UHL-F4000 cameras.
Alan Keil, Vice President and Director of Engineering at Ikegami Electronics (USA), Inc, said: “Our emphasis at NAB 2024 will be on the advance to 2160p 4K-UHD as the globally preferred standard for producing high-value television content. Latest-generation Ikegami solutions offer a budget-friendly license-key way to add new tools or meet new standards as or when required: higher resolution, high dynamic range, wide colour gamut and high frame-rate production as well as from SDI to SDI/IP hybrid or full IP connectivity.”
The HDK-X500, designed for versatile applications including studio, sports, and location production, boasts three latest-generation 2/3-inch CMOS global shutter sensors and automatic optical vignetting correction. It features advanced controls for precise scene matching and supports HLG HDR for detailed image reproduction across dynamic ranges. Additionally, the camera offers high-frame-rate capture capabilities at 1080i 119.88 Hz.
Complementing the HDK-X500, the OCP-500 operation control panel enables full remote control, catering to outside broadcast hubs and studio control galleries. Its compact design optimises space efficiency without compromising functionality, while durable silicone rubber control buttons ensure longevity.
Enhancing the viewing experience, the new HLM-2460WA and HLM-1860WR video monitors deliver superior image dynamics and clarity, making them suitable for broadcast environments, edit suites, and outdoor applications.
In Ikegami’s latest lineup, the HLM-1860WR emerges as a standout, boasting a larger 18.5-inch IPS LCD panel compared to its predecessor, the HLM-1760WR, all within the same compact 19-inch rack-width 7 U chassis. With a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 500 nits peak brightness, the HLM-1860WR ensures clear image reproduction even in challenging outdoor environments. Notably, it can be powered either from mains or a 12 V DC battery, offering flexibility for various applications.
Both the HLM-1860WR and its predecessor offer additional features such as user-definable onscreen guides, dynamic and static UMD support, and seamless tally integration via Ethernet using the TSL V5.0 protocol. Optional Windows-based software allows automatic alignment of R/G/B gain for precise white balance adjustments, utilising compatible colourimeters from JETI, Klein, or Konica.
The UHK-X600 camera stands out as a versatile studio/portable solution, equipped with three 2/3-inch oversampling UHD CMOS sensors delivering exceptional 1000 TVL resolution and minimal aliasing. Its compact dimensions, measuring 13.4 x 9.6 x 6 inches, and lightweight design of just over 11 pounds, make it ideal for various mounting options, including pedestal, tripod, or shoulder operation. The UHK-X600 supports high frame rate capture, optional 4K processing, and a wide range of plug-in hardware options for enhanced flexibility.
Designed for high signal quality and versatile connectivity, Ikegami’s UHK-X700 camera offers better performance for both studio and portable applications. With three 2/3-inch CMOS UHD sensors and full HDR/SDR support, it ensures superior image quality in diverse shooting scenarios. Optional HFR shooting and simultaneous UHD/HD output further enhance its capabilities, making it a versatile choice for broadcast professionals.
For full studio applications, the UHK-X750 camera offers all the features of the UHK-X700, with a focus on ease of service and cool operation. Its lower centre of gravity and streamlined design make it suitable for studio environments, providing reliable performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
Additionally, Ikegami showcases the HDK-99 docking-style camera, the UHL-43 compact box-style camera, and the UHL-F4000 lightweight UHD HDR camera, each offering unique advantages for various broadcasting needs.
The company also presents a range of broadcast production monitors, including 4K/HD models such as the HQLM-3125X, HQLM-3120W, and HQLM-1720WR, as well as HD displays like the HLM-2460W, HLM-1760WR, and HLM-960WR. With advanced features and superior performance, Ikegami continues to lead the way in broadcast production technology, setting new standards for excellence in the industry.
