Nevion arrives at CABSAT, fresh from receiving a Technical and Engineering Emmy award for its role in the standardisation and productisation of JPEG 2000 (J2K) interoperability the high-quality video compression technology widely used by broadcasters across the world. The media transport specialist will be on stand G2-30 showcasing some of its latest network and broadcast infrastructure solutions designed to manage and transport professional quality video, audio and associated data in real-time, reliably and securely.
Among the solutions highlighted by Nevion at CABSAT 2015 will be the Sublime X2, which delivers the functionality of a modular video and audio router in a compact frame. Its size makes it ideal for deployments where space is at a premium, while its enhanced cross-point, power and controller redundancy set new standards in reliability. It offers signal processing capabilities such as embedding and de-embedding of audio, as well as clean switching of video, normally only found in larger routers. Its new web interface makes it easy to operate.
The NX4600 Media Gateway is Nevions latest generation H.264/AVC compression platform. Designed primarily for contribution networks, the NX4600 is an encoder, decoder and media edge adapter all built into one, offering flexibility, density, ease of use and cost-effectiveness in a compact 1RU size. It brings together Nevions extensive experience in real-time delivery of professional-quality and highly secure video and audio over IP.
Also on show will be VikinX eMerge, Nevions next generation series of Ethernet media routers, specifically designed to aggregate, switch and forward IP media streams in a broadcast environment.
Finally, CABSAT visitors will be able to see the latest version of VideoIPath, Nevions industry-leading media management platform. The fully integrated system makes it easy to manage media networks and provides increased capabilities for broadcasters to control their own requirements.
