Live demos will run throughout the show, and experts will be available for tailored briefings on how Planetcast’s cloud-first architecture is reshaping media delivery in today’s complex digital landscape.
Planetcast Media Services is set to showcase its next-generation media distribution solutions at CABSAT 2025, taking place from May 13 to 15 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Aimed at empowering broadcasters and media companies across the Middle East and South Asia (MEASA), Planetcast’s latest innovations focus on localisation, cross-platform monetisation and efficient cloud-based content delivery.
At the heart of its exhibition will be the NexC media services platform, a comprehensive PaaS solution designed to streamline modern broadcasting needs. The platform integrates a suite of advanced tools, including Contido for end-to-end content supply chain management, scalable OTT services for rapid deployment and monetisation, cloud-based playout solutions for both VOD and live sports, and Cloud Bats—an AI-driven scheduling and revenue optimisation system.
A key example of NexC’s impact is Planetcast’s recent partnership with Qatar-based beIN Media Group. The collaboration supports 14 HD sports channels across Southeast Asia and Australia, enabling seamless content preparation and global distribution using NexC modules such as Cloud.X-Turbo and Recaster. These solutions leverage public internet infrastructure to deliver broadcast-quality streams efficiently and cost-effectively.
Developed entirely in-house by Planetcast’s engineering team, NexC unifies playout, OTT, digital delivery and monetisation capabilities within a single platform. Its design prioritises rapid deployment, operational simplicity and scalability—fitting the demands of today’s fast-evolving digital media landscape.
With a growing portfolio that serves over 350 channels and more than 50 leading broadcasters worldwide, Planetcast is reinforcing its position as a key technology partner for content owners navigating the transition to digital-first ecosystems. The company’s strategic investments in AI, multilingual content delivery and server-side ad insertion are enabling MEASA’s media entities to reach wider audiences across devices and geographies with enhanced efficiency and scale.
Sanjay Duda, CEO of Planetcast Media Services, said: “At a time when media companies are being asked to do more with less – including more platforms, more formats, and more distribution points – NexC is the answer to the industry’s complexity crisis. With NexC, we’ve brought together post-production, content supply chain, cloud playout, OTT delivery and monetisation into a single unified platform that enables MEASA’s media enterprises to prepare, enhance, deliver and monetise content. This isn’t just integration, it’s a global Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution that’s designed for speed, simplicity, and scalability. By leveraging our in-house expertise, technology and cloud-first architecture, NexC gives MEASA’s video distributors the control and agility they need to thrive in the current fragmented and high-velocity content environment.”
Duda added: “Planetcast has been trusted by brands like Amazon Prime, Disney, Sony, Star, Viacom and the Indian Premier League (IPL) over two decades. Our experience gives us a deep understanding of real-world broadcast requirements, and we’re now using that expertise to help clients win in digital. At CABSAT, we’ll show how our innovations, from cloud playout to metadata enrichment, can turn complexity into opportunity.”
