The show will feature the public debut of Planetcast’s NexC architecture in the MENA region
Planetcast Media Services, a global leader in broadcast technology and media services, is set to showcase its advanced cloud-first media management and delivery solutions at CABSAT 2024 in Dubai from May 21 to 23. The highlight of the event will be the public debut of Planetcast’s NexC architecture in the MENA region. NexC aims to revolutionise media management by simplifying content processing, post-production, distribution, and monetisation in today’s complex distribution landscape.
Sanjay Duda, CEO of Planetcast Media Services, said: “We are going to show major players from across the Middle East how NexC enables them to overcome today’s complexity challenge. Content owners, distributors and other media companies need to reach viewers at an unprecedented scale through a diverse range of media platforms and devices that are continually evolving – and that makes things complicated. We’re at CABSAT to show them how our unified, cloud-first approach can help simplify processes, while increasing agility and maximising efficiency and cost-effectiveness.”
The exhibition follows Planetcast’s recent acquisition of Switch Media, bolstering NexC’s distribution capabilities with an end-to-end OTT platform. This integration ensures seamless content delivery and monetisation opportunities for media companies.
Planetcast’s comprehensive services encompass content supply chain management, metadata enrichment, playout, OTT platforms, and FAST channels. NexC streamlines content production and delivery through its single-window management interface, Contido, and features like Content Preparation & Localisation Services, RECASTER, Cloud.X hybrid cloud playout, RECASTER digital delivery platforms, and MediaHQ.
Furthermore, Planetcast provides FAST channel services globally, collaborating with ad-tech partners such as Wurl and SoFast. The company also offers Teleport Networks in India and Singapore, delivering channels via premier satellites like AsiaSat, Intelsat, Measat, Insat & Bangabandhu series, ensuring high network redundancy and fail-safe mechanisms.
Attendees at CABSAT will have the opportunity to explore Planetcast’s post-production services, featuring a software and cloud-curated ecosystem with AI-enabled capabilities for rapid turnaround times and competitive rates. Additionally, the company will present its cloud-based Playout Disaster Recovery solution, offering cost-effective protection against broadcast service disruptions.
