The new Rohde & Schwarz transmitters allow the audio broadcast network operators to cut energy costs by as much as 50% as well as to reduce maintenance and rental costs over the lifecycle of the transmitter. Another highlight is the R&S AVHE100 headend solution for encoding and multiplexing, which adds options, boosts performance and keeps small footprint.
The new R&S AVHE100 headend solution can generate up to five HD or 15 SD programmes and several multiplexes all on a single processing platform. There is also a new option for receiving and processing of satellite signals, making this solution from Rohde & Schwarz one of the most powerful integrated solutions on the market: a complete multiplex centre in just a single height unit. Moreover, Rohde & Schwarz supports the new HEVC standard for digital video compression.
