Cairo Film Festival screens first episode of Viu Original ‘Wadi Al Jinn’

The line-up included Tunisian-French documentary 'I Bite My Tongue' directed by Nina Khada and Venezuelan film 'The Red Vortex' directed by Lorena Colmenares.
The festival will present more than $250,000 worth of standard and monetary awards to 15 competing Arab films.

The film festival recently confirmed that it will hold its 42nd edition from November 19 to 28, 2020.
To be eligible for submission, projects must be directed by filmmakers of Arab nationality or origin.
The last date for submission is August 31.
Offering a total budget of $100,000, at least three Egyptian filmmakers will receive funding to produce or complete their films.
The Saudi-based festival, will select a Cairo Film Connection project from the fiction projects to attend the inaugural Project Market of the Red Sea Souk from March 13-16, 2020.
