The film is directed by Amr Gamal, who shares screenwriting credits with Mazen Refaat.
The project brings together Yemen, Sudan and Saudi Arabia in a landmark co-production.
Among eight projects, six grant recipients have also been invited to participate in a year-long mentorship programme.
This year's programme will consist of 19 live screenings and around 200 virtual screenings.
