The jury will judge the 14 first and second feature films participating in the official competition, whose titles are still under wraps.
This year’s Atlas Workshop participants will be known as the Class of Martin Scorsese.
The film is a co-production between Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
The jury prize was shared by director Maryam Touzani for 'The Blue Caftan', which is Morocco's entry for the Oscars, and Portugal's Cristele Alves Meira for 'Alma Viva'.
Honorees will receive the festival’s Étoile d’or at the historic Jemaa el-Fna Square, Morocco.
Lebanese and Moroccan directors Nadine Labaki and Laïla Marrakchi to serve on the Marrakech International Film Festival jury.
The in-person festival was due to take place in Marrakech in November with new artistic director Remi Bonhomme at the helm.
Programming will be available for free and will include films, shorts, documentaries, music, comedy, and conversations.
The Atlas Workshops, which will extend for four days during the film festival, will welcome 270 international professionals to develop and support Moroccan, Arab and African films.
