The Abu Dhabi content generation zones training arm twofour54 tadreeb is a platinum sponsor of the CABSAT Academy; the events training initiative.
During CABSAT, twofour54 tadreeb will offer a series of free one-hour workshops in conjunction with industry leaders such as BBC and INA. Global experts in the fields of broadcast technology and digital archiving will share their knowledge and experience with visitors to the CABSAT Academy over the three day event.
Andy Wilson, head of Centre of Technology, BBC Academy will conduct two workshops on multi-platform delivery and new broadcast technologies. The first presentation will discuss the challenges of delivering high quality interactive services across a range of devices, platforms and middleware. It will also discuss the BBCs approach to delivering consistent interactive services into different software languages and bandwidth capabilities and how it caters to a global audience. The second session will highlight current changes and trends in broadcast technology to assist in decision making, strategy setting, and to help those who are installing or using new broadcast technologies.
A third masterclass on new digital archiving technologies will be conducted by experts of Ina, the worlds leading organisation in digital archiving and digitisation, operating the largest database of digitised audio and video archives-content in the world.
It will address new technologies available for the restoration, digitisation, preservation and archiving of audiovisual assets such as Television and Film. The session will also focus on issues and tools available for archive management and will show ways to choose the right technologies best fitted to meet the individual requirements. Case status of current Ina projects will illustrate new ways of utilising digital archive content for new media platforms such as online.
All sessions will be repeated at different hours on all three days to ensure people do not miss out on these important seminars.
