Arabsat has announced its participation in SatCom Conference & Exhibition to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from May 20-21.
At the event, the satellite operator will showcase its fifth generation satellite Badr-7s capabilities that combine satellite broadcasting and telecommunications services. Badr-7 is expected to be launched by the end of 2015 to cover the Middle East and central Asia from Arabsats Hot Spot 26° degrees East.
Khalid bin Ahmed Balkhyour, President & CEO of Arabsat, said: “Our participation in SatCom Africa this year comes at a time when our company has made significant headway in the African continent with our fifth generation satellites. Arabsat is presently working on its sixth generation satellite project, which will provide more satellite capacity over Africa with full in orbit-back up.
We are working hard on several important strategic projects to operate our orbital positions and keep up with the increasing customer demands to ensure that Arabsat remains the best choice in satellite broadcasting and telecommunication services in the region.
