Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) will host an exclusive panel discussion on Dubais position as an international film production location. The event also marks the completion of one year of Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC) and will have influential film industry decision-makers discuss and highlight the facilities and incentives for filmmakers who choose to film in Dubai.
The discussion will revolve around filmmaking opportunities on offer in Dubai, and how the Emirate is continuing to strengthen its position as an international film production hub. The panel will shed light on the one-stop-shop production support that DFTC offers, as well as other exciting new developments now available to filmmakers who choose to shoot their projects in Dubai.
The panel discussion is scheduled to take place on December 8 from 2pm to 3pm at Madinat Jumeirah, The Forum Room.
The speakers at the discussion include:
· Jamal Al Sharif, Chairman, Dubai Film and TV Commission
· Nayla Al Khaja, renowned Emirati Filmmaker
· Phil Alberstat, Legal Advisor, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol and Executive Producer, Romeo and Juliet
· Ammar Al Khrisat, Dubai-based Producer, Alkatraz Productions
· Julien Khabbaz, Head of Investment Banking, FFA Private Bank
The panel will be moderated by Al Arabiyas Mayssoun Azzam.
A networking session with a range of Dubais local film production entities will follow the panel discussion.
