The production company behind the Egyptian film Ahmed & Ahmed has officially confirmed that the movie will premiere in cinemas on July 2. Featuring Ahmed al-Sakka and Ahmed Fahmy in the lead roles, the film promises a suspenseful and unpredictable storyline that delves into themes of identity and memory.
The plot follows the journey of a man named Ahmed who returns to Egypt after spending years abroad, hoping to start a new chapter in his life. His plans are upended when his uncle—also named Ahmed—suffers a mysterious accident that leads to memory loss. What begins as a personal crisis soon unravels into a larger enigma when it’s revealed that the uncle has multiple personalities.
As the two navigate this psychological maze, they encounter a range of unexpected characters, including a feared arms dealer, members of the mafia, and a compassionate schoolteacher. Their mission becomes one of survival, discovery, and confronting the hidden pasts tied to each persona.
