Veteran Egyptian film Director Mohamed Khan chose the 10th annual Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) as the World Premiere location for his latest feature film, Factory Girl, starring Egyptian actress Yasmin Raees.
The film tells the story of working class sisters Hiyam and Basma, who work in a clothing factory in a poor neighbourhood in Cairo. DIFF is a significant platform for Arab filmmakers, who take advantage of the festivals international spotlight and strong industry representation to push their work onto the world stage.
