Ixonos has worked together with digital media company Al Jazeera Plus (AJ+) for a new digital video news and current events channel. AJ+ was handed over a fully working digital end-to-end solution to ensure a consistent experience across platforms.
Commenting on the project, Roope Suomalainen, head of Media Business Area at Ixonos, said: To succeed in the launch of the innovative news service it was imperative to understand the target audience. Generation C connects with engagement, loves content creation and tends to form active communities. These characteristics became the drivers of the design of the service, explains.
In order to attract the younger generation, the key design principles of the service are very simple. Special emphasis was laid down on keeping the service easily accessible.
Considering the trends, easy accessibility of content and sharing via social media, were key elements of the service, explains Sami Paihonen, Head of Design at Ixonos.
In the further development of the service the role of data analytics and user feedback will become central to enable the user experience to develop and gain an identity that best suits the audience.
Ixonos continues to work together with AJ+ in further road mapping the service, advising in technology and ensuring that the wow-effect, imperative to the success of the channel, will be delivered all the way through.
