As more and more people have tendency to use internet as a unified platform for their communication and entertainment needs and as the TV keeps its position as the primary mass media, internet TV creates high value for operators.
Having seen this as an opportunity to create an effective point of reach with their subscribers, Alfa, a Lebanese mobile network managed by Orascom Telecom has launched the Alfa Mobile TV service powered by Argela ITV platform. The service will enable Alfas data customers to watch TV and movies on various devices through Alfas 3G and 4G networks or through WIFI. The service provides the subscribers with the ability to watch live TV channels and Video on Demand (VOD) content on their tablets and smartphones.
Commenting on the new service, Marwan Hayek, Chairman and CEO of Alfa, said: This comes within the constant efforts made by Alfa to add value to its customers and improve their experience with the different services we provide. Alfa Mobile TV service is a pioneer multiscreen TV service in Lebanon, proving Alfas innovative vision in the region. He added: Combined with lots of attractive features, we believe Alfa Mobile TV gives consumers in Lebanon more choice and more control to watch what they want, whenever and wherever they want.

With Alfa Mobile TV, subscribers have access to a wide variety of content ranging from sports to movies, news to music, as well as channels for kids. Some of these channels are Rotana Clip, Al Arabiya, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera, France 24, Fashion TV, LBC Sat, MBC1, MBC3,
Spacetoon, Abu Dhabi Sports, Bloomberg and a selection of local channels.
