This new agreement will support Mediaset and Medusa Film with advanced rights management.
Fincons Group, an international IT business consultancy and systems integrator with more than four decades of industry experience, has announced that Mediaset, one of Italy’s foremost broadcasters and media companies, has chosen its AllRights platform as the new rights management system. The initiative also extends to Medusa Film, Mediaset’s film production and distribution subsidiary, marking a significant step toward modernising and streamlining rights management operations across the organisation.
With the rise of diverse distribution channels ranging from traditional linear television to digital and on-demand platforms, Mediaset has recognised the need to replace its legacy rights management systems with a more integrated and efficient solution. The adoption of AllRights is aimed at enhancing governance, optimising operations and preparing for the future demands of a rapidly evolving media rights landscape.
Luca Poloni, Chief Technology Officer at Mediaset, said: “Fincons’ solution stood out for its all-encompassing functional coverage and advanced technological stack. AllRights was ultimately selected for its ability to meet our high standards of scalability, flexibility, and long-term sustainability. Its adoption marks a key step towards streamlining processes across all areas involved in rights management and strengthening governance across MFE’s countries.”
AllRights is a modular and scalable rights management solution tailored for the media and entertainment sector. It provides full lifecycle control of rights—from acquisition and contract management to exploitation and compliance. For Mediaset and Medusa Film, the platform will centralise content and metadata management while supporting rights-in and rights-out processes. This unified approach is expected to improve operational efficiency through automation, enhance transparency of rights usage and availability, and create new revenue opportunities through optimised acquisitions and licensing.
Fincons will manage the implementation and customisation of AllRights for Mediaset and Medusa, integrating it with surrounding systems such as Media Asset Management, ERP, and scheduling, while ensuring a smooth transition from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-based environment.
Francesco Moretti, Deputy CEO and CEO International at Fincons Group, added: “We are proud to support Mediaset in this important step. With AllRights, we are confident that we are offering the market the flexibility and performance levels required to manage rights in today’s complex media environment, while also laying the foundation for future business models and monetisation opportunities. We look forward to seamlessly transitioning our systems to provide internal users with the value-added required by changing industry needs.”
The AllRights solution will also be presented at IBC2025 in Amsterdam from 12–15 September, where Fincons will showcase its features and conduct live demonstrations
