Rotana Channels Group has signed a strategic media deal with Lebanese channel LBC and Sawt Beirut International, which broadcasts a wide range of Lebanese programmes specialising in arts, music and entertainment.
The agreement was signed by Abdullah Al-Shabana, head of the TV sector at Rotana Channels Group, and Jerry Maher, executive director of Sawt Beirut International.
The partnership includes the broadcasting of Sawt Beirut International talk shows, entertainment, youth and medical programmes on LBC, as well as new programmes that will be launched soon, with Lebanese media professionals.
Speaking about the deal, Abdullah Al-Shabana said: “The partnership between the Rotana channel group and Sawt Beirut International is in the interest of the Arab media as well as the audience in the Gulf and the Arab world, and indicated that this agreement will result in great cooperation between the two parties in the field of providing more and more attractive content.”
Jerry Maher added: “The cooperation between Sawt Beirut International and Rotana Group, pointing out that it is a real opportunity to promote free media in the Arab world, and it also represents the embodiment of the best media partnership to achieve the ambition of Arab youth in an independent and strong media.”
The Rotana radio and TV network provides entertainment, artistic and cultural content for Arab audiences.
