This marked the seventh Electron launch of the year, with Rocket Lab aiming to complete 20 or more missions with the vehicle in 2025.
Rocket Lab has completed its 65th Electron mission with the launch of an Earth-imaging satellite for real-time space-based intelligence company BlackSky. The mission, dubbed Full Stream Ahead, lifted off from Rocket Labs Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand, and deployed a Gen-3 satellite into a 470-km circular orbit, further expanding BlackSkys low Earth orbit constellation.
The Gen-3 satellite was released using Rocket Labs Motorised Lightband separation system, which has been a consistent component of every BlackSky mission launched on Electron. This launch marks the second of four scheduled missions this year by BlackSky aboard Electron rockets, and the tenth overall collaboration between the two companies since 2019, reinforcing Electrons status as BlackSkys preferred launch vehicle.
Full Stream Ahead came just 16 days after Rocket Labs previous Electron mission, demonstrating the companys growing ability to deliver launches in rapid succession. With each launch achieving full mission success, Electron continues to solidify its reputation as one of the most reliable and frequently used orbital launch vehicles for small satellite missions globally.

This launch for BlackSky will be Electrons seventh successful mission of 2025, Rocket Labs 65th launch overall, and brings the total number of satellites delivered to space by Electron to 226.
