Episodes rollout weekly, alongside the official US release, starting Monday, May 5, 2025.
StarzPlay has announced the exclusive Middle East premiere of the second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, set to debut on May 5, 2025. The continuation of the Walking Dead spin-off picks up six months after the events of the first season, with Maggie and Negan, portrayed by Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, now at odds as they struggle to survive in the ruins of post-apocalyptic Manhattan.
As the story unfolds, the duo finds themselves forced to join forces once again in an environment where chaos and danger are matched only by unexpected moments of beauty and horror. Navigating their way through a city ravaged by collapse, they face shifting alliances and escalating threats in their quest for escape.
The upcoming season comprises eight episodes, penned by writers Eli Jorné, Zoe Vitale, Keith Staskiewicz and Sarah Nolen. In addition to returning directors Michael Satrazemis and Ed Ornelas, the season will mark Lauren Cohan’s directorial debut with episodes four and six.
Episodes will air weekly in sync with the US broadcast, giving MENA viewers the chance to follow the series as it unfolds—exclusively on StarzPlay. Fans can also rewatch season one on the platform ahead of the new release.
