Algeria’s national broadcaster Télédiffusion dAlgérie (TDA) has selected TRANSRADIO and Ampegon to modernise two mediumwave transmission stations. The project was offered in cooperation between TRANSRADIO and Ampegon.
The TRANSRADIO TRAM line 400 kW and 600 kW mediumwave transmitters which will be used for the project are well known for their robustness, efficiency, reliability and superior DRM performance.
All the antenna modernisation works will be carried out by the Ampegon team in Schifferstadt.
TDA has previously worked with TRANSRADIO and Ampegon for its longwave project in Tipaza.
Jochen Huber, CEO of TRANSRADIO stated: TRANSRADIO has a long history in Algeria with its TRAM line transmitters. The award for the second high power project within some months demonstrates again the common strength of our cooperation with Ampegon.
Josef Troxler, CEO of Ampegon added: We feel honoured to be part of this modernisation project and deliver TDA full turnkey systems. Proofing again that the collaboration with TRANSRADIO continues to maintain and build its leading position.
