TOD Studios has announced that its latest production, Sarab, will debut on January 7, 2024. The first three episodes are being released initially.
Sarab follows a chain of events triggered by a child’s kidnapping, unraveling hidden secrets and pushing relationships to the brink. As each character confronts the fallout, they begin to realise that their seemingly stable lives are unraveling. The incident reveals the vulnerability in their lives, prompting them to rethink and rebuild.
This 10-episode series, inspired by ‘Seven Types of Ambiguity’ features a stellar Egyptian cast, staring Khaled El Nabawy, Yosra El Lozy, accompanied by Hany Adel, Ahmed Wafik, Ahmed Magdy, Gihan El Shamashergy, Injy El Mokaddem, Naglaa Badr, Diamand Abou Abboud, and Mohamed Kelany. Each
episode focuses on a different character, offering a unique perspective and a cinematic experience.
Directed by Ahmed Khaled, Sarab employs a distinctive Noir visual style with cold tones and desaturated colours, reflecting the psychological turmoil of its characters.
