UAE-based satellite broadcasting company, YahLive, and free-to-air Arabic TV channel, Tawazon TV, have signed a deal announcing a long-term partnership for Tawazon TV programmes to be broadcast in high definition (HD) through Yahlives satellite service.
The family-entertainment channel, owned by Lootah Television & Advertising offers feature news, entertainment and specialty programmes for Arab viewers. New programmes in HD will include Health, To Know Each Other, The Puzzle and Poem and Values, and cooking show, Zadkum Moukool.
The signing of this agreement was witnessed by Mohamed Youssif, CEO of Yahlive and Abdulmunam Mohamed Lootah, CEO of Tawazon TV. Yahlive viewers across the Middle East and North Africa can now access Tawazon TV programmes, which broadcasts at 52.5°E. Also, Tawazon TV viewers will be able to watch their regular programmes in HD.
Commenting on the partnership, Youssif said: Our new HD partnership with Tawazon TV is another example of Yahlives strategic vision to become the HD hotspot for the region as it offers TV viewers a greater bouquet of viewing options. The addition of Tawazon Arabic TV to our broadcast offerings means that Arab viewers across the region have the opportunity to experience their favourite Tawazon TV shows in HD quality.

Yahlive has benefited from the shared knowledge and experience of the global satellite operator SES. SES operates 44 Direct-to-Home (DTH) platforms across the globe, carrying more than 5,200 TV channels, of which more than 1,300 are in HD.
