KWIKmotion’s AI Live Captions was engineered as a standalone, real-time captioning service designed to connect seamlessly with any streaming service.
The integration relies on a secure WebSocket protocol that ensures fast and continuous data exchange. When Nimble’s Transcriber requests captioning, the system authenticates the API key, launches the transcription or translation pipeline immediately, and streams captions back to Nimble in real time. Nimble then adds the captions directly into the live feed, creating a smooth and effortless workflow that fits naturally into existing streaming setups.

To support mission-critical live events, KWIKmotion’s AI Live Captions is built with high availability in mind. The service is deployed on Akamai Cloud using GPU-optimised environments and maintains multiple active nodes that take over automatically in the event of a failure. With continuous monitoring and autoscaling, the system ensures uninterrupted caption delivery even under heavy load or unexpected spikes in traffic.
The integration also brings extensive language support, making it possible for platforms to reach a truly international audience. More than 50 languages are supported, including English, French, German, Arabic, Greek, Persian, Kurdish, and many others. For organisations that require additional languages or domain-specific models, WPS can enable custom training to meet specialised needs.
Accuracy remains one of the platform’s strongest advantages, with near-perfect performance for major languages and an error rate of less than six percent for linguistically complex languages such as Arabic, Greek, and Kurdish during live streaming. For VOD, the accuracy reaches up to zero percent error, outperforming many general-purpose AI models available today.
