The lineup includes a Golden Lion contender, along with multiple world premieres across the festival’s sections, including projects by homegrown talents Suzannah Mirghani and Mariam Al-Dhubhani.
As a tribute to Sudanese cinema, the Arab Digital Expression Foundation will screen both films.
'Cotton Queen' won the ArteKino Award at the Cannes Film Festival’s L’Atelier last year.
'Al-Sit' is written and directed by Suzannah Mirghani, who co-produced it with Eiman Mirghani.
