Akamai has promoted Managing Director of Akamai Benelux, Hans Nipshagen, as the Head of EMEA channels and alliances. In his new role Nipshagen will be responsible for the companys EMEA channel strategy and will be tasked with growing Akamais regional partner programme and increasing sales.
Nipshagen has worked with Akamai for more than seven years in a variety of roles, most recently as MD of Akamai Benelux and regional sales leader in Eastern Europe the Middle East and Africa. He was Akamais first employee in Benelux and is based in Amsterdam.
Prior to Akamai, Nipshagen worked with a range of large international carriers including Verizon and UUNET. He has more than 20 years of industry experience.
