beIN Media Group is entering Spain’s sports streaming scene with an expanded pay-TV offering.
beIN is adding to its over-the-top (OTT) platform beIN Connect, which will now include four channels showing La Liga football as well as international tournaments, including the Champions League.
Building on its former offering, launched in July, which included the full programming of the linear pay-TV networks beIN Sports and beIN La Liga, the streaming platform is now adding Mediapros GOL and La Liga 123 without increasing the price.
The Mediapro-programmed channel, which is also available through DTT, includes La Ligas free-to-air content blocks with first and second division matches, as well as Copa del Rey games. La Liga 123 is a pay-TV network run by Spains national football organisation, which covers the entire second division. Its distributed by most pay-TV operators in the country.
The beIN Connect service is also available for multiple connected devices, including iOS and Android tablets and smartphones; Samsung, LG and Android smart TVs; and Google Chromecast.
