BeIN is the first customer to go live with Synamedia Senza for its new subscription video service.
Synamedia has announced that beIN Media Group is the first broadcaster to go live with its cloud video platform, Senza, using the technology to power the launch of its new subscription streaming service, beIN STREAM, across select countries in the MENA region.
With Senza’s flexible cloud-based architecture, beIN is able to enter new markets and expand its reach with significantly reduced onboarding costs and the ability to update the platform’s user interface instantly, without needing to push software updates across every device. The platform bypasses typical ecosystem fees and revenue shares, transforming the economics of content delivery while offering advanced features like AI-generated video and dynamic, cloud-rendered graphics for a more immersive viewing experience.
Speaking about the new streaming service, Israel Esteban, CTO at beIN, said: “BeIN is at the forefront of embracing advanced technologies with the power to grow our business by reaching new customer segments across a broader array of devices. We have adopted several breakthrough technologies from Synamedia over the years, and we look forward to extending our partnership as we explore the opportunities offered by Senza.”
Paul Segre, CEO at Synamedia, commented: “Senza gives operators like beIN an easy way to increase their market share by reaching new audiences. Senza’s innovative approach reduces deployment and operational costs yet delivers a viewing experience unlike any other platform. And the best part is that it will only improve with time, resulting in lower operational costs for the service provider and a better viewing experience for viewers. It’s a win-win.”
Designed for versatility, Senza also opens up new monetisation avenues for industries beyond traditional media, including hospitality and IoT, by eliminating technological barriers and enabling engaging, customizable video delivery.
