More than 145 lessons have been already recorded for students and work is being done to record the rest on the Bahrain 2 Sports Channel.
Bahrain TV Channel 2 (Sports Channel) has started airing audiovisual lessons to provide remote learning to students, the Information Affairs Ministry said.
The initiative was taken during the Cabinet session chaired by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
Assistant under-secretary for Radio and TV Abdulla Khalid Al Nassar said that implementing the remote learning project was in co-operation with the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry of Information Affairs has provided four TV studios to produce and record the lessons, on three different shifts per day, with more than 50 technicians and engineers participating in each shift.
More than 145 lessons have been already recorded for students so far and work is continuing to record the rest of the audiovisual lessons and air them on the Bahrain II Sports Channel in addition to uploading them on social media.
Meanwhile, Education Ministry Assistant Under-Secretary for Curricula and Educational Supervision Ahlam Al Amer said work is underway by the recently-formed 45 specialised teams to produce e-lessons and enrichment materials and review their linguistic and scientific content before uploading them to the educational portal.
