The event will highlight Dubai's position as the region’s "most sought-after destination" for creating, distributing, selling and buying high valued media and entertainment content.
The latest edition of the Dubai International Content Market (DICM) will be held from December 9 to December 10 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Conference Centre.
DICM said in a press statement, “The event comes at a time, when the media and entertainment market across the globe is on the cusp of change, creating more opportunities across various media platforms and driving investments in untapped markets.”
Following a successful 2018 edition, this year the event is being held in the light of Dubai’s new role as the “Capital of Arab Media 2020”. The event will highlight Dubai’s position as the region’s “most sought-after destination” for creating, distributing, selling and buying high valued media and entertainment content.
DCIM provides an opportunity for media, production and distribution executives from the Middle East, Asia, USA and Europe to converge in Dubai and explore networking, learning and business expansion opportunities.
The 2019 edition will retain and improve most of its features, including the “Plug & Work” exhibiting concept or the personalised matchmaking service.
Last year, DICM brought together approximately 700 visitors, according to Index, the event organiser. Index also said in a statement that more than 250 buyers from 35 countries attended the market, and engaged in 845 meetings with the exhibitors.
The 2018 conference brought together 20 local and international speakers, who highlighted the challenges facing the content market locally and internationally
Confirmed exhibitors for DICM 2019 include mena.tv, Pact UK A+E Networks, all3media international or ITV Studios.
