Launched on September 14, 2023, the Dubai-based digital platform caters to MENA's Gen Z and millennials and aims to deliver fresh perspectives to a digitally savvy audience.
In less than a month since its launch on September 14, digital storytelling platform Blinx, has reported impressive numbers on its @blinxNOW and @blinxNEWS social media handles.
The @blinxNOW has garnered 33m views across various platforms, including: Instagram (24m), Facebook (300,000), YouTube (4.7m), TikTok (1.8m), and X (Twitter) (2.26m). The platform has over 56,000 followers across its own digital and social media accounts. The @blinxNOW account boasts and engagement level of 3.7% with 787,000 engagements. Its digital footprint stands at 184m users.
In just three weeks, the platform churned out 2,970 posts and videos. On Instagram, its bilingual (Arabic and English) documentary Tantura has over 8.1m views and videos such as Ambulance Driver and Plestia Al Aqad boast 8.2m and 670,00 views respectively.
Earlier this month, the digital hub launched @blinxNEWS to provide extensive and dedicated news coverage on events in the Arab world.
In an unexpected setback, video hosting service TikTok suspended the @blinxNOW account, citing a “violation of community guidelines”. Blinx is currently navigating the situation and will primarily rely on Meta platforms, X (formerly known as Twitter), YouTube, and others, until its TikTok account is restored.
