Jawwy TV’s existing and new subscribers will be offered a 12-month access to discovery+ content at no extra cost when signing up for the service.
Discovery+ and Intigral have announced the expansion of Discovery’s portfolio on Jawwy TV with the launch of HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel.
The channels offer different genres including home and garden, renovation, food, exploration, adventure and mystery. Jawwy TV viewers gain access to a plethora of new shows, including Christina on the Coast, Inside Out (HGTV), Grill Of Victory, Girl Meets Farm (Food Network) and Mountain Monsters (Travel Channel).
Discovery Inc. and Intigral announced a long-term strategic partnership earlier this year. As part of the agreement, Jawwy TV subscribers can access discovery+ content in a branded area on the platform and have access to Discovery’s international linear channels: Discovery Channel, Fatafeat, TLC, Discovery Family, Animal Planet, Discovery Science and Investigation Discovery. The addition of HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel to the platform was part of the original agreement and has now been accomplished with the launch.
Commenting about the new launch, Francesco Perta, Senior Business Development and Distribution Director, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and North-East Europe at Discovery Inc., said: “I’m excited to build on our partnership with Intigral and to bring the much-loved channels HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel to the Jawwy TV subscribers. It allows viewers to choose their favourite shows among an even wider variety of content. With discovery+ and ten linear channels to choose from on the platform, we offer viewers the possibility to watch our best real-life entertainment from home or on the go, anytime they like.”
Tony Saab, VP of Content, Intigral, said: “At Intigral, we are eager to broaden our range of offerings by bringing value-added content to our viewers to enhance their digital media experience. As such, we are delighted with our solid partnership with Discovery which supports our strategy for diversifying Jawwy TV content, expanding our VOD library and adding to our live TV offerings. Such partnerships also complement Intigral’s expansion strategy where we continue to extend our footprint into new MENA markets, including Egypt, UAE, and Jordan, which were added earlier this year, aiming to transform digital content consumption across the MENA region.”
