New shows coming up this year include Coopers Treasure, which depicts the ultimate real-life adventure, a treasure hunt that started in space, and Mosquito, a global event special that will sound a worldwide alarm about the need for bold action to stop the increasingly urgent threat that mosquitos pose to humanity.
As the global trend toward crime programming grows in popularity, Discovery Channel will showcase two series this year that take a look into two of the most notorious criminal figures of the last century. Escobars Millions (w/t) follows the search for Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobars hidden treasure. While, hot on the heels of the global success of Harley and the Davidsons, comes a new scripted anthology series called Manhunt: Unabomber which tracks how FBI agent Jim Fitz Fitzgerald brought down Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber, through his pioneering work in forensic linguistics.
