The firm achieves double-digit growth, promotes Said Bacho to Chief Revenue Officer and Stuart McGeechan to Chief Operating Officer.
EditShare has wrapped up its Q2 2021 results and announced 45% growth over Q2 of 2020.
Significant contributions to growth include an increase in cloud deployments, a key industry win with Boston public broadcaster GBH, deals with ministries such as Hillsong and King Jesus, and notable demand for expansion from existing customers such as Edge Hill University. Product workflow investments and partner integration enhancements, with partners such as Adobe and Amazon Web Services, allow for media management solutions that span every step of the operational journey — on-premise, hybrid, and in the cloud.
EditShare also announces two key leadership appointments with the promotion of Said Bacho to Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Stuart McGeechan to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Bacho will lead EditShare’s global sales, pre-sales, and sales operations. McGeechan will continue to define EditShare’s customer success strategy as well as oversee the company’s business platforms and supply chain operations.
Commenting on the quarterly results, Conrad Clemson, CEO of EditShare, said: “In a business environment of constant change, EditShare remains focused on delivering open solutions with supply chain agility that enables our customers to navigate uncertainty and react with speed and ease to new requirements, whether that’s evolving the tools they use or the way they need to collaborate. With the currents of the pandemic continuing to push media companies towards flexible, open workflows, our innovative solutions and market leadership position EditShare for continued record growth into the second half of 2021. The appointments of Said and Stuart enable us to continue raising our game providing the superior service and continued innovation the industry has come to expect from EditShare. Both are transformational leaders whose track records put customer enablement and empathy alongside growth and innovation.”
Bacho, who joined EditShare in early 2021 as Vice President of Sales – Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), has been influential in reshaping EMEA sales and sales operations, driving record revenues for the region. The promotion to CRO will expand his leadership to EditShare’s global sales team, bringing new go-to-market disciplines, processes, and structure to the worldwide sales organization, enabling the global channel partner and system integrator network, and driving strategic account development across all regions.
Bacho added: “I was drawn to EditShare by its technology and team. I am excited to take on the role of CRO and continue to drive the business forward in double-digit growth delivering an exceptional customer experience from introduction to implementation of their EditShare solution.”
McGeechan, who joined EditShare in 2019, has been responsible for the company’s customer success strategy — transitioning training, support, and professional service teams from a reactive operation to a proactive customer engagement experience. McGeechan will pick up the mantle to create a world-class, data-driven business operations process that spans every aspect of the company.
McGeechan stated: “Empathy for our customers and their storytelling journey is an EditShare core value. Aligned with this value is our objective to further simplify operations so we can quickly meet customer needs on-demand. Working hand-in-hand with the senior leadership team of EditShare, we will continue our business transformation to a data-driven, high-growth software company.”
The appointments of Bacho and McGeechan are effective immediately.
