The film has resonated strongly with audiences across Egypt, captivating viewers with its ensemble of rising stars, snappy dialogue, and themes centred around unwavering ambition and camaraderie.
El Hareefa follows the journey of Maged, a football player who finds himself at the crossroads of two worlds: the upper class he once belonged to and the lower class he has embraced due to changing circumstances, colliding with his friends who are professional football players.
Nour El Nabawy shares the screen with former professional footballer Ahmed Hossam Mido in his debut acting appearance, alongside Nour Ehab, Ahmed Ghozzi, Youssef Omar, Mahraganat singer Kozbara, Khaled Zahabi, and Selim El Turk.
Known for his success in television drama, El Nabawy’s recent achievements include the Ramadan 2022 social drama Rageen Ya Hawa, a major hit during the season. Aside from El Hareefa, his recent works include the Ramadan 2023 drama Elaghar and a guest appearance in the epic military drama El Kateeba 101, starring alongside Asser Yassin and Amr Youssef.
Currently, El Nabawy is actively involved in the upcoming Ramadan series Embratoreyet Meem, co-starring with iconic actor Khaled El Nabawy and Hala Shiha, under the direction of Mohamed Salama and the penmanship of Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik. The series, based on a story by renowned writer Ihsan Abdel Quddous, promises to be a highlight of the upcoming season.
Beyond his entertainment pursuits, Nour El Nabawy has been appointed as the ambassador of the Shabab Balad (The Country’s Youths) Initiative by UNICEF—an Egyptian adaptation of the International Generation Unlimited Initiative launched by the UN in the region last year. This marks his commitment to empowering and uplifting the youth in the country.
