UAE-based animation house Fanar Production, which produces animated content on Emirati culture, will launch the seventh season of its show, Shaabiat Al Cartoon. The show is screened every Ramadan and this is the second series to be produced at Fanars local studio. The cartoon will feature a set of themes this Ramadan, Haidar Mohammed, Fanar Productions co-founder and chief creative officer said. Themes that will be covered this season include car racing on the UAEs highways by the youth and how the new fashion trends in the Abaya have overshadowed what the traditional dress initially symbolised. It excites us to release each new season of Shaabiat Al Cartoon every Ramadan, and to bring another series of episodes tackling important social issues for the region, Mohammed said. Building on previous seasons, weve partnered with some important and high profile sponsors to deliver each episode, with every programme seeing the Shaabiat Al Cartoon mixture of comedy and entertainment addressing social issues relevant to the region. Shaabiat Al Cartoon will be screened on Sama Dubai TV. The show features various accents including Khaleeji and dialects from Levant and North Africa as part of its efforts to attract a wider viewership.
