Children aged six to 19 can submit 10-second animation videos to participate in the competition. The winner receives a FUJI camera and a chance to participate in an animation workshop organised by FUNN.
FUNN, the Sharjah-based foundation dedicated to promoting media arts among children and young people in the UAE, has launched the Best Animation Video Competition for children aged six to 19. The winners of the competition will be announced on 20 March, which is also celebrated as the World Happiness Day.
Speaking about the competition, Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of FUNN and Sharjah International Children and Yout, said: The organisation seeks to celebrate global occasions like the World Happiness day, with an aim of raising awareness on the importance of cinema and its role as a global platform for children to showcase innovative ideas and creative skills. World Happiness Day is an ideal opportunity for FUNN to enhance children’s skills in visual arts, encourage them to translate happiness in their own way and allow them to enrich the film industry in the Arab World by creating quality films.
