The documentary The Tedious Tour of M, directed by Hend Bakr, will be publicly screened at Cinema Akil in the UAE on March 15 at 11 a.m. The film explores the life of celebrated Egyptian author Mohamed Hafez Ragab, who withdrew into solitude for nearly 30 years, abandoning his literary career at its peak.

One of the most influential figures in modern Egyptian literature, Ragab’s decision to step away from the public eye remains a mystery, and the film seeks to unravel his story.
Co-produced by Ahmed Nabil, The Tedious Tour of M features editing by Peter Adel and cinematography by Tamer Nady. The documentary is represented globally by MAD World, while MAD Distribution manages its release in the MENA region.
