IBC has revised the dates of its inaugural Middle East event in the UAE in light of the recent announcement confirming the Abu Dhabi Media Summit powered by twofour54 dates.
Following on from IBCs announcement last August to develop a series of global events under the title IBC Content Everywhere, the MENA dates have now been confirmed for Tuesday 20 Thursday 22 January 2015. The event will take place at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena in Dubai.
Michael Crimp, IBC CEO explained the date change saying: IBC exists to support the global media and broadcast industry and we have a track record of respecting and working collaboratively with a diverse range of companies, industry bodies and government organisations around the world. The IBC Content Everywhere format aims to continue in that tradition. I can confirm the event will now take place in January and we are convinced that this is in everybodys interests and respects the dates of the Abu Dhabi Media Summit powered by twofour54. The move has been welcomed by our colleagues at twofour54 with whom we share the goal of positively impacting this fast paced industry locally and globally.
For the MENA event, IBC has already secured ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union) as a Gold Supporter, Ericsson as Platinum Sponsor, Dubai Media City as Host Sponsor and an exhibitor list which includes Cisco, Nvidia, Quantel, Aspera, Irdeto, Vimond and Content Wise as well as being in discussions with players who have shaped the regional media landscape. IBC aims to maximise opportunities for global dialogue through this event and to facilitate new and exciting business partnerships. IBC Content Everywhere will share vital expertise and key developments around the hot topics that are changing the international face of content whether it is through rich media content, devices, apps or big data and cloud services in the IBC Content Everywhere Hub and Theatre during the event.
In a region where 37% of online consumers watch videos on their mobiles daily and mobile growth is nearly twice the growth in Western Europe and North America, the Middle East is key for the global industry. IBCs Content Everywhere aims to become a must attend annual industry forum that adds value and plays a vital role in creating new and exciting opportunities to enhance the existing investment in infrastructure, knowledge and technology already under way.
