Attached, a film by Harakiri Productions, was declared the winner of the 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) in Dubai last night to a packed house at Fridge. The winning entry will now represent Dubai at Filmapalooza, Hollywood, where it will compete with 120 other entries from around the world for the Best 48HFP film in the world.
Attached, which is directed by Oliver Obeid, was one of the 16 finalists that made it to the final Best Of screening at Fridge, Dubai on November 15, 2012. The film will also potentially be able to enter the Cannes short film corner.
After a gruelling 48-hour shoot two weeks ago, 48 entries were submitted by film enthusiasts across Dubai to the 48 hour film festival competition, which was sponsored by several entities including UAE-based distributor Advanced Media LLC and Canon Middle East.
Besides a trip to Hollywood to compete for the final award, the winning entry also received several gifts from the sponsors. Stay tuned for more news on the 48 Hour Film Festival.
